Lots of things going on in my workshop these past few months; Oh Prep! pop-up store at Alun-Alun Grand Indonesia, Bazaar at Senayan City, website prep, etc, etc. But then, truth is when there’s a will, there’s a way, right? Excuses surely can lead to a season of blog-procrastination. I know. Guilty as charged.
So, today I’m gonna write about something that is long overdue in my blog-schedule. Last March, I was planning to throw surprise birthday party for my sis since it’s her first birthday after she’s moving back to Jakarta for good. I was thinking of something simple and memorable. As there will only be party of 5 that are all food-lovers, there’s no point to splurge in party decor.
The Decor theme was simple, pinkish and girly. One that can be used as nice photo background. I used some of Oh Prep! products that’s suitable with the theme then add a secret magic touch to make it prettier. Paper leaves it is!
Paper leaves is easy peasy to make.
I use “Vintage Garden” birthday banner (IDR 100k), 2 set of paper lotus (IDR 70k) , 2 paper snowflakes (IDR 44k), and giant number balloon (IDR 70k). Also, I made paper leaves from carton paper (bought in Gramedia, 6k). So, total decor budget was only IDR 290.000! Overall decor looked like this.
We had fun taking photos for our keepsakes that day!
Sometimes, or most of times, the most important thing to a party is the people we celebrate it with. Don’t you agree?

Anything about prepping 
Love it! What I have also started doing when I buy or make decor for my own parties is buy or make items that can be used again. I have a party box with various items that are left over which I hope to use again. My children love having their party decor in their bedrooms. Not only does it look great but reminds them of their special days. Needless to say their bedroom has 5 lots of bunting, four lanterns and 3 paper fans!

Thanks for dropping by! :))) I used to collectall the cute stuffs too. Until it became a lot then I started to think to setup a party supplies business haha.
